I decided to buy the MEEPO FLOW. I want to make it as carvy as possible, am trying to make it as close to my present skate, a carver surfskate at 30’15 (i know i cant get it as carvy as it, but i want to get as close to it as possible).
I decided that the best way to go for this is to get both the MEEPO FLOW and the following adapters as shown in waterborne’s youtube video about the same board:
I just need to know now if this is all a good idea (second opinion is always great), if i should change anything and most importantly what wheels I should get.
I want to be able to carve a lot while ride through asphalt roads, i currently use 68x78 wheels and it barely manages with asphalt (with lots of noise), so am wondering if 105x65 wheels will hold up.
I am open to switching to pneumatic tires when challenged with rougher terrain, and using the normal ones when on flat ground.
Thank you so much!!! I’ll get the 120 All-Terrain if I ever decide to go through rougher terrain, but I guess itl be enough for now, although pebbles do scare me, but I guess I can just look out for them
100% you can put 105s on it. Just be sure to make adjustments for wheels bite. (Carbon extender, harder bushings, extended rail, and if needed the limiter for the fin adapter.)
My instagram has my surf skate build on it if you wanted reference.
It may have depended on when your purchased you Flow. I think the 105mm wheels Meepo is using came out after the Flow did. Later versions of the Flow probably came with the 105mm wheels.
I love and will always use Waterbourne stuff but keep in mind that the surfadapter will crack eventually.
Keep an eye on the top side since that’s where it should break when working right. Meaning you dont loose wheels when it breaks
Also apparently the bracket to extend the wheel base puts too much stress on the deck. Granted it took over 2 years for my deck to snap but still something to keep in mind
I broke two surf adapters. Both were replaced by the company without needing them back. The black, one was always defective but the one I painted red broke the safe and intended way
