What’s it’s like to put a rear truck n motors on a push scooter?

Is putting a rear skate truck with hub motors on this or something similar a bad idea? I think maybe sketchy over 25mph, no?

i mean yeah, its probably a bad idea.

are you actually considering this because you think its a good idea though?

imo the only reason to do something like this is just for the sake of doing something dumb but quick and fun.

Anyone done it? Maybe could get better control than on a board.

I don’t have a scooter and looking for a good candidate. Been wanting to for years but never get around to it.

I’ve wanted to put a hub motor on one of these. But I’m afraid @BillGordon would find it and use the handlebar as a seat.

why not just get/make a proper electric scooter?

yeah actually. I don’t have a picture on this device but I had a client come into my shop with one of those front-motor scooters and he had a skate truck bolted onto the rear fork instead of a read wheel. he was talking to me about putting esk8 drives on the rear wheels so he could have 3 wheel drive.

Turning on it worked just like a skateboard or the kickboard. the front wheel would turn and lean while the rear truck turned and leaned with it. turning radius was from the center instead of the front.
