I Finally got my battery today and wanted to try and get set up on my flipsky 4.12 vesc but I say this every time and I have no clue what to do (first time using a vesc tool 
) as always any info will be appreciated 
do you have a Bluetooth adapter? if not you won’t be able to connect over Bluetooth.
If using a USB cable make sure it does Data & Power, not just power.
Yea i have the Bluetooth module its the only way i can tune it because i dont have a windows computer
vesctool is also available for mac and linux, I run it on a Chromebook.
I’m not too familiar with BT vesctool but try to turn Bluetooth off and on again. also make sure it’s in the right port.
Also, UART needs to be enabled on the vesc

in the APP settings, you need to enable the UART port to use the Bluetooth module. (the UART port is the place on the board the BTmodule plugs into)
You will need a computer and USB cable to do this, though it only has to be done once.
Okay. I’ll give that a shot, but I think I found the problem. So when I got the Bluetooth module, the vin wire was Put in the socket that goes in a 3.3 V. Port, instead of the 5v port that the 4.12 vesc was designed for (why it came like that idk😑) so this weekend i’ll solder on a new connector for the wires to be in the right spot

If it’s a jst connector (white plug) you can just depin the connector and put the wire in the right place, no soldering required
