Hohohoooo early Xmas gift arrived!

Always a gamble to order the right size from a brand you’ve never ordered before , and yep luckily they fit spot-on!

First impressions: Light-weight, good support and yet they feel like a pair of socks to wear :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: , Got on my board with them on; they feel nice, real nice.

Got to get some riding on them done! Which isn’t going to happen anytime soon :man_with_probing_cane:t2: So i can’t judge them yet…

But hey! I’ll be prepared, and ready for action :smiling_imp:

NICE. Yeah man, super comfortable. Lighter than most sneakers. Durable. Hiked the Grand Canyon in summer with these. They did not disappoint. All red/dirty. Hosed them off, let them dry, all good again. Support, but not too much. They’ll need a little break in, but also - not much. Enjoy brutha and Merry Christmas!

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by these cheapos

The soles are pretty garbage, but I threw in some arch supporting insoles, and now these are basically my favorite riding shoes for the Winter.

Normally any decent running shoe (provided the sole isn’t too thick like Ultraboosts) is all I need for a good ride, but it’s been so damn cold lately that I can’t wear my typical shoes.

I think buying shitty Amazon shoes and using insoles is going to be a new strategy for me moving forward.

Bought some Globe Surplus Knit shoes for 56 eddies. Pretty impressed so far. You can really feel the breeze when going fast.

I used to ride with these:

I just was gifted these so they’ll become my new riding shoes. Carbon fiber toed even! “safety”!

I will say the reason I am switching is due to a friend who had a 99% amputation of his ankle on an EUC; feet are vulnerable. I’d prefer a high top boot but these were free and a good step in the right direction.

Woah dude, what? Care to share any more info?

At least a year ago now; in Portland, OR; luckily we have some of the best amputation-reattachment surgeons in the US and while he’s a little shorter on one leg now, he has pretty good function.

Was he riding in slides? :grimacing:

Cutout?

I don’t know the details very well; I think he got caught between the foot peg and the ground, possibly with something sharp in the mix. Talking with my healthcare friends they say ankles are like one of the most vulnerable parts of your body, especially when you factor in these sorts of hobbies.

Worn them once in 2 years. One shoe went walkabout and was never to be seen again.

They are super light and stick like Velcro to the grip tape…who knew?

@mtv1 I would interested to see what you say about these. If I recall they are super flat right?

Honestly on paper they should be pretty good
