You can also contact this guy who sells parts. I’m sure he could sell you a whole XR or Pint without the electronics so you can put in your own stuff. I’m also very certain he has very old used and broken equipment he’d sell for stupid cheap

Witz is a good dude, fwiw.
One thing I’ll mention, I ride XR a lot for the scenarios you describe (and it’s what keeps me never interested in selling, just jump on it and go), especially around my mountain property, which is 15 acres surrounded by hundreds that are undeveloped, which have lots of old logging “roads” on them; custom profiles are a must for anywhere that’s really hilly.
I keep mine set on max elevated nose, can’t even ride one set normal anymore. I wish I could set it higher. I think most people would be amazed the inclines, off road especially, I manage to climb, but regardless for that alone, I wouldn’t mess with a pint if you’re anywhere but the flatlands, especially if you want to do much at all off pavement. It’s still the biggest limitation holding back the one wheels regardless in my opinion though. Otherwise as I’m sure you’ve found, it’s incredible just how intuitive they are to control. I’ll ride around in circles for hours while dealing with phone calls, why not?
Pint on the other hand is super fun, has a very specific awesome feel to the ride, for just kicking around a neighborhood, they really should open up the custom tuning though.
