We just finished implementing the integration with the Daly BMS units. It will be available for both Megan and Minnie. The setup is as simple as connecting the Megan/Minnie, VESC, and the BMS to the same CAN bus. BMS data can then be viewed in the Metr app or directly on the Megan display.
Just to add, it requires getting the CAN baud rates aligned. Daly BMS communicates at 250K and it can’t be changed. Most VESCs are pre-configured to communicate at 500K but it’s easy to switch to 250K.
Only thing left is hoping you guys can add a back up settings feature( Old Davega to New Davega) . If not Nbd, I appreciate what’ve done so far and it’ll be fun playing with the new features anyway.
Last time I tried with metr it wasn’t working properly, but honestly, I can’t remember what it was doing. I have another build I might stick a Minnie in.
The most useful parts for me still worked though, which is the forwarding the connection to a desktop computer.
There is a risk Minnie will only detect the first ESC. Because detection happens on startup. So you have to be quick and power both of them simultaneously.
