Voyage Systems: Megan and Minnie

I don’t think the extra 15mm should make any difference. Rather, the cable may be bad or there may be poor contact on one of the connectors.

it was fine until around esk8con when i started noticing cutouts. i don’t think i’ve had it cutout in the past few weeks tho. gonna try and max out my battery amps today and see if i get any cutouts

Ah, could well be. If it becomes a hassle, I’ll look into dressing the cable shorter or using a thicker, lower resistance wire to maybe shore up those few milivolts of difference

Any update on this @rpasichnyk @janpom ? Its a super helpful feature for debugging, and we all know how much debugging DIY esk8 requires unfortunately

Would be nice to stop folks from automatically blaming the puck for vesc cutouts

Yes, but since everybody calls it PPM, we’ll stick with the established terminology. Not being confusing is often more important than being (hyper-)correct.

I think Pulse Width Modulation is really hard to say for people new to english. Pulse Pulse Modulation is close enough I suppose.

I find calling it the wrong thing very very confusing.

I was under the impression it is pulse phase modulation

Just had a convo in vesc discord leaving me less sure any of it is more “right” than the other. gotta go dig up that thread on the forum on the topic now.

New Minnie user here :wave:t3:

Has anyone else had trouble getting their Minnie to connect to Wi-Fi? I’ve got a solid connection to my phone over BTLE, but the Wi-Fi icon in the “Realtime” page stays perpetually grayed-out.

I haven’t seen any new devices pop up on my network admin panel, either :man_shrugging:t3:

Records sync to the Metr app just fine. Albeit slowly.

TCP Bridge with VESC Tool (Mac) also works just fine when enabled in Metr App settings.

Other than that… this is a fantastic little device. Especially love the “Announce” feature.
