VOLOKNO double parallel kingpin mountainboard trucks and motormounts

Hi, guys!
As some of you know last year i released my mountainboard deck. And what needs a mountainboard deck? Correct - trucks!
So here they are - VOLOKNO DMT - double parallel kingpin mountainboard trucks

I guess a many of us have longboard trucks / bushings from other esk8 or previous boards laying around, so you can take this bushings test them on this trucks and then if they are to soft/hard for you - order a kit from RipTide.

My initial idea was to make a one set with a design that i like, but one set costs quite expensive, so i ordered small batch (5 sets) and now i can share this trucks with you. Why i used “share” instead of “sale”? Because this batch is nonprofit for me. The price consists of materials, production, cargo insurance and PayPal fee.
So if you also like this design - feel free to order a truck / set

If you decide to order a set with a MBD deck/kit here is a 20$ discount code you can apply on checkout (because shipping will be cheaper) - 2020202

P.S. because of bad lighting and shitty phone camera - trucks look a bit purple-ish on photos, but don’t worry irl they are black with smooth matte finish

The trucks look sick! May I suggest a king pin cover for a possible v2, looks like they could get caught on stuff, especially in offroad situations.

Very interesting developments. Not a bad price either - keep up the interesting work

Aren’t they supposed to be called PKP?

I don’t think there’s a proper “supposed to” yet for this

But PKP makes more sense than dkp

20 bonus points for naming them dmt.

That’s an interesting design, did you come to it after FEA or just for looks? Only bringing this up because it looks the thinnest in the center circled in red and thicker where I circled in blue.

hows they ride?

good idea, but if you need - i can send you a spare kingpin + nut for 3$, and i am not sure that a design and production of an additional kingpin cap will cost less than 3$

yes, i made the the first model just for looks (by eye) (blue model), but then i made a lot of simulations to make this trucks reliable and remove all weak points. grey is material that was added in the version that was produced.

i am not a fan of high speed so i can not tell anything about pkp tucks higher stability on high speeds, but after several rounds around my workshop i can confirm that this trucks have what i looked for - better “steering” on low speed (compared to regular trucks with springs)

First APEX, after TRAMPA now VOLOKNO. Nice to have competition!

I like that they’re not entirely symmetrical. I’d like to see what the difference feels like, with the hanger one way vs the other. 2 questions; do you know off hand if the distance between the kingpins? I wonder if your hangers and baseplates would be swappable with apex’s. Also, any chances of you ever working on a 35-45° baseplate to run these on street boards without complicated risers or brackets?

Wait, one more question, I couldn’t tell from the pics. What’s the bushing seat like? Can I run fat cones/chubbier?

Etoxx was first.

It was more of a safety concern, although this is purely hypothetical, pkp trucks are a relatively new concept and so far I haven’t heard of anyone becoming superman because the kingpin got caught.

Plus covered kingpins add style points imo. Its also something your competitors aren’t doing, so it would make you more unique.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that’s not a DKP truck, DKP trucks already exist and they use 2 kingpins in series, not parallel.

Don’t forget Rebound from the '70s and NoSno in the early 90s

thanks for advice, guys. i changed title and description

on my trucks this distance is slightly bigger so my hanger will not fit apex baseplates

i am not sure that i will make such baseplates

bushings seat is 24.7mm (0.975") diameter and 2mm deep

Total weight for 1 hanger?
