I already got a qoute for someone to ship me 1k of these display… very fast lead time for up to 3k.
If you payed someone to “develop” a new display for you, you got ripped off. It is very clear to me that this is the exact display made from good display that you ordered, same identifiers same construction etc. So far nobody in the qouting process said anything about EOL.
I agree with @magharees it really doesn’t matter that much, the point of the forum isn’t to win an argument.
The point of the forum is to share accurate information. Now if anyone wants a replacement display or to use this display in their own remote they know it’s straightforward and fast to order, even in larger qty. I got qouted something like $7 ea. for qty 1k, could probably get them lower if you ordered more.
