USA - Group Buy - Sunmate wheels, tires, tubes (chinsese superstars or untrampas)

@Accrobrandon is it ok to get in on this if I’m in Canada? Or is this a US only situation?

fixed, same but different.

US is easiest but I may consider CAN, I cant even ship a fn book for under $20 first class to CAN lol… so Id expect your rate to be $50+ depending on what u get…

Ya shipping to Canada is always a massive ball buster. Might not be worth it then. I’ll see if any Canadian peeps want to get in on this to split shipping. How long do I have until the buy is closed?

they said 100 MOQ for hubs only. so unless 25 people want sets then probably a no.

giving it a week to see where the numbers lie, lay? then present and see what they got.

Is it possible to order just 2 tires as spares instead of a full set?

those tires are so cheap. but I don’t know them at all so I hesitate buying more. lest I find out I just don’t want to ride them. but it’s like premature fomo.

that can be wider without changing the bearing distance.

…and there is also Board Bumpers (down under) which offers a Hub bearing adapter for the Trampa Superstar so you can use those hubs on short 8mm axles like Evolve and countless others without reducing the bearing distance.

…or you can ask @Schulerbible if he can share with you his precise design of his own hub bearing adapter he did for that spectacular build a while ago.

I dont think you’d want the hubs. The tolerances are awful

Ah right thanks

yeah but for these we need un-bumpers as they come ready for 8mm… the mmaner print makes 10-12mm possible.

Yeah. No reason to buy them get rockstars for about the same price

ah, I have one more thing in the decision treee. I don’t want to buy from Trampa after reading his posts over time.

and rockstars I already have. they don’t have the ability to do the widened hub trick with out widened axels ie same bearing spacing

So who’s used these sunmate TB like tires? any reviews out there?

sure, possible. what ive found from riding pnuemis over the last couple years is that the rears wear quicker than the fronts, and even if you do a tire rotation half way through usually 2 still have a little life left vs the other 2… so i save those 2 used-able ones and when the second set gets to the same place… then I throw those 4 used one back on to squeeze the last bot of life out of them… but thats me…

we might be pioneers here for that.
