wait. black TB110’s in 72a. these exist??
They’re rare
Tb 110 dibs?
The day Ed broke up with thane…
Nice lot, glws
70 shipped on unobtanium tb110s is a crazy good deal. Id buy them if i didn’t already have a set.
How are they any different from other thane wheels? I know they’re hard to find but I still don’t get why they’re so special
I’ll take the TB110s if they’re available
Un dibs on the 110s
They are perfectly great. The 78 are ok, but these 72’s can take a lot of abuse.
This doesn’t really explain how they’re different from other wheels to the point where everyone wants them. I was legitimately asking because I don’t understand why they’re so desirable. Is it just that no one else makes 72a in 110mm sizes? Or did torque boards do something significantly different from other wheel makers that makes them better?
Although at this point it seems I’m too late to grab them if whatever makes them good sounds like something I’d want. Since @haven seems to want them. which no harm there. If anything my wallet appreciates someone else grabbing them I’d still love to know for future reference though
Afaik 72a hasn’t been in production for quite some time. They’re also softer than the 74a they sell now, and black, which also hasn’t been made for quite some time
blue 72a 110s are ugly as shit when they get dirty
They look good the moment you put them on for that photo op.
That’s preference. I still think they one ugly mf
It’s partly the sizing and softness, but there’s also ride feel and handling that comes from the particulars of the urethane formula. Kinda reminds me of snooty wine culture sometimes, but i can’t deny that TB thane feels both plushy and lively in a way that’s hard to match.
That is exactly the kind of answer I was looking for. Even if it isn’t a standard description of it it still helps a good amount when figuring out if it is something I’d want or not. The standard part is already covered by the size and softness rating.
I just like them a lot. Soft, good grip, you hit a patch of perfect pavement and it feels amazing. They roll over a lot of stuff that other wheels have trouble with. And 72a big wheels are otherwise unobtanium.
