Upgrading battery, esc, motor on an Evolve Bamboo GT

Hi All

I have an evolve bamboo GT with an upgraded 10S4P 30Q battery.

I was thinking if its possible to upgrade battery, esc and motors to something more powerful and with better range.

Does someone here know a trustful set of components to achieve this? Also any feedback if it could be worth doing would be great.

if u r in the US, i know LHB used to do evolve upgrades, not sure if he is still doing those these days tho. maybe check with him?

I want to get my friend to upgrade his GTX if this is possible. I’m tired of waiting for him all the time.

damn isnt the evolve battery huge? you might need new enclosure aswell for more space

I used the flipsky 4.20 plus with IdeaTB motors or the mounts from Torqueboards. A lot of others have used xenith/unity.

Motors I’m not sure you would need anything more than 6355 but 6374 are very tight fit.

I did my build on a carbon gt so I was limited to space without cutting up stuff.

On the gt/gtx if you don’t plan on running urethanes could go 10s8p

Remotes just look around for something g you like. Hoyt pucks are somewhat standard on most peoples builds for the reliability. Vx1/2 are good

Second that advice for a new enclosure. I’ve got 2x focbox, a/s, that stupid fat Maytech receiver, a Metr and 10s4p 30Q + Daly BMS in the standard enclosure. It still needed a ~1 cm foam gasket and you ain’t fitting anything else in there. There is no air. There is no light. It is practically solid. Not ideal.

The eboosted enclosure would make all the difference.

One other thing fwiw, I don’t think the Evolve GT/X platform is right for ‘more powerful’. More range, f’sure. Less sag, absolutely, but the short deck and the DKPs are pretty well matched by the default power performance. If you’re looking for more torque and especially speed, I’d change platform.

Replying to an old thread, with some hopes that there’s someone from UK who can help me upgrade my battery lol. I had it done by Kevin Dark some 2-3 years ago and my range is trash now. Anyone knows who could do help out? Thanks!

I can help you with that. Upgraded my GT with a proper battery and is day and night.
