The first rubber seal was too tight and it more pressure on the series wiring inside the pack then what I am comfortable with. I’ve added an additional gasket today to relieve that pressure. I would benefit from a size longer bolts now but these also work I’m just afraid of too much pressure on the enclosure long term I’ll have to go to the hardware store soon anyways
And also used black permanent marker on those yellow mt60s which were really bothering my eyes…

also yes I’ve got way too many boards
Also recently my main income became food delivery. Sometimes I get long range orders that would totally suck on an esk8 (I do it all with a car now), sometimes I get walking distance ones, sometimes I get orders that are too long to walk but too short to drive and parking often sucks. Unfortunately the 12S4P pack is pretty damn heavy, and the range is way too overkill for such a use case…
So I decided to build a 12S1P pack for this board to help out with the short city center orders.
Did 2x 6s1p actually, so I can kinda take it on a plane as well if I needed, but not like I plan to right now with this pack. More so did it this way to try the female pinrail as a balance connector. See with the JSTs the female part actually has the pins and the male one can’t be mounted properly to something. So wanted to test this connector to have something that can mount inside a 3d print for future flight pack layouts that I may or may not build.
It’s using Samsung 50G cells which are pretty crap in 1P, but I need basically zero acceleration on this board… Don’t even need high speeds. So should be fiiiine. But I had these on hand so didn’t need to order anything. I can also disconnect them and have two 6s1p packs that I can use for various accessories.
I think it should give me around 25 km range, maybe a hair more on this ridiculously efficient board.
Gonna do the BMS balance harness some other day, but the battery is installed. The deck looks so empty now!
It’s still 8.8 kg though… And there’s no more easy way to shave off weight. Definitely much better than the 12.x it was previously, but I was hoping for under 8. I guess the main source of this weight is gonna be the deck. Kinda wish I didn’t leave my exway x1 max back in Hungary, that’d actually be quite convenient for this purpose, that’s maybe 7.5 kg or so.
