After connecting to VESC tool and trying to upload firmware I get:
- a serial port connection error at end of flash
- firmware upload ok but focbox doesn’t reboot.
Upon reboot the focbox still has old firmware 2.18.
What I’ve tried:
- downloading previous versions of vesc tool/accompanied and trying to update incrementalyy but no dice
- uploading bootloader first and then flashing firmware both with and without power cycle.
Any ideas?

Bootloader changed after 5.03. Try this:
Firmware archive for 5.03 on the original focbox
