Turning lights on/off with Spintend remote

Hello guys, I’m trying to turn on/off my Shredlights SL-200 with a remote, I’ve seen this is possible with the Spintend ESC and remote combo

  • Is there a step-by-step procedure somewhere?
  • Can add this feature with a different remote?
  • Is there anyway to wire the SL-200 to get this option?

thanks

Shredlights are battery powered and totally waterproofed.

It is possible but it’s going to need some soldering.

You will also need a buck down circuit.

Better get some other leds from ali, you will have to destroy the shredlights for this

Are there any lights you would recommend?

I think the spintend has a built in buck down to 12 or 24v.

Any led should do.

Better change the thread name to “spintend LED suggestions”
And you will get a lot of links

Spintend does have a built in 12v 3a output, I just dont know how to turn it on without their remote

Is far as I know it’s not possible without their remote.

Car lights are 12v, if you are looking for a fast and easy thing, visit your local car shop.

I recommend led though. Don’t forget to put a current limiting resistor

These are pretty good, just wire up a seperate latching push switch to 12v. No resistor required just connect to 12v

I was looking into this. Getting a light bar https://www.amazon.ca/BEEYEO-24000lm-Driving-Lights-Waterproof/dp/B08NCD72Y9/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=7+inch+light+bar&qid=1616527017&sprefix=7+inch+lig&sr=8-5 and then using a relay switch or mosfet connected to the spintend to control it while it is connected to my battery. If you are only powering this. 12v3a should be enough to connect it directly without the relay
