Toxicity: Jet Killshot 40, psycho enclosure, dual maytech 100amp esc, 10s6p 30q pack, TB cnc trucks & mounts, TB 6374 190kv and mini remote

I haven’t shared a build thread in some time, so here goes! When the killshot groupbuy happened back in August I had to jump on it and start planning a new build. First step was to customize the new deck and give glass frit a try.

First was a color change to bright green for the bottom and sides followed by priming the top to be hydrodipped in oils slick.

Next was spar urethane and heavy glass frit.

Next task was the drivetrain. Picked up a couple of TB 6374 190kv motors and put them on the TB 218 trucks and v5 fixed mounts

Was lookin good, but then Dexter decided to drop the new cnc trucks and V6 mounts, so naturally…

The new trucks needed a gloss finish, they came matte…

Also bought an illume light set from @Genex

Tried rear mounted motors but had to switch to forward. This was a little tricky with the length of the v6 mounts so I used my heat gun to add some clearance on the enclosure.

Switched all the hardware I could to stainless steel because everything crusts here in hawaii. Here are the sixshooters before and after bolts were switched out.

Next phase was to begin the battery pack build. I ordered 60 samsung 30qs on black friday for a great deal from 18650batterystore.com and ordered some 3d printed cell holders. All of my packs follow the chakra design of cell-level fusing. I’ve not had an issue with any pack yet even with all those solder joints on the cells :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

P Groups glued together

Arranged

Labeled, time for soldering.

P Groups soldered up, time to make sure the pack will fit in the enclosure how I hoped

Fitment verified, now for some series connections and a charge only bms

Voltage verified for all groups and whole pack, time for some shrinky dinky wrap

Plugged it all in and ran some sensored FOC detections without any issues and bound the mini remote. Time to clean up and secure the insides and mount the power button and charge port.

Finally, some finished build pics!!

Test ride was awesome!! A little sluggish but only from settings that I changed afterwards. I upped the positive ramping time to .1sec, increased throttle expo to 15%, and upped the switching frequency to 3khz. All that is left now are new bushings that are ordered already, metr pro module(also on the way), and upgrade remote with better power switch, rechargeable battery and voltage display so it is up to par with the rest of my builds. Currently waiting for the rain to pass before I can try out the new settings. All in all I LOVE this thing!!

Thanks man! This is my 4th build from scratch so I took my time with each step of the process. Really love how it turned out my self, just need some dry weather to go test her out for realz!!

Pretty build! I’m a bit unsure if the cell level fusing will hold up with a setup that powerful, but otherwise that battery is beautiful.

On the downside, I just realized there’s a pretty glaring TB logo on the trucks

I personally don’t like it, but eh :woman_shrugging:

No that’s creative. Gotta make it fit by all means.
Great job brother. Clean and sexy looking stuff:+1:t3::+1:t3:

Ps. Hope Those aren’t your riding shoes :grimacing:

I’d rather have a TB logo tattooed on my body than the word bae on anything I owned lol.

The bus wires only have to carry the load of a single cell, brass flagstick is used as bus bars with 10awg wire making series connections. There is no reason to suspect this battery will not hold up, my other packs have well over 1000 miles each and are going strong :call_me_hand:

I live in hawaii lol slippas are worn all times shoes are not required. Like while taking pics of freshly completed build

Haha. It hurts but I agree. There is a story behind the whole bae logo thing. Those just happen to be the last set of cheaters I had left when decided to explore 4wd
And it would be weird for you to rock that bae logo when you aren’t from around here lol

Haha. Fair enough :call_me_hand:t3:

I actually did live in San Francisco and Santa Clara for a few years when I was younger.
But mostly Venice Beach in Santa Monica when in California. The word bae is just cringe to me lol.

@Dmaxx I love that black and green look.
Making me want to work on my venomous kicktail build.
Would be dope to get those six-shooters powder coated to match. Maybe a two tone with black and a green rim around the perimeter of the wheel.
