basically every part is better. The [TB] ones have better bearings, better shaft retention, better shaft, better magnet retention, a circlip on the rotor, better waterproofing on the sensor assembly, stronger stator mount, better termination, and probably other things not visible from the outside…

It’s like the car that’s been in two serious wrecks and repaired by the lowest bidder of them all, twice, versus the same car brand new. Sure, they look the same… and have different prices…

But people also need to realize that support bars are there for a reason

That’s right. Have seen some bendy even with crossbar thou. But I think the stronger mounts are on the way soon.
On the other hand, 63100 in dual at one side of the regular truck isn’t possible either, so crossbar will not work here.

So it turns out the motor does work with tb esc BUT the sensor does not work. Is it possible for sensor wires to short out and screw up esc?

Most likely, you used improper sensor wires which shorted your motor.

You know… longer motors might as well be a direct drive. Probably safer then 4x M4 bolts.
