400c + some added flux allowed me to desolder mine. The leads go deep into the bullet connectors.

I don’t have the thickest iron tip but it was still so hot

It’s whatever lol. I sat there for 10 minutes with my ts80 on it. Amazon order has been placed lol

I use a small butane torch to desolder bullets. Drop right off after a bit.

Hows that smell?

Had to put my fat tip on. Realized how much I like it and it’s stayed. No title allowed from that comment.

Use it on bullets not wire coating, glue sniffer.

nice long test ride today,

Everything worked like clockwork, can’t recommend these enough. On high performance/long range boards some sort of heatsink is deffinetly necessary. But same could be said of any vesc out there. Once I get a heatsink installed I will probbaly be able to skip taking the BART and ride the whole way lol.

Will take back some of my observations for how fast I’m building heat with these for the time being. Turns out a “janux” motor took a shit. Too bad it was still a newborn.

“affect” is a verb and “effect” is usually a noun, though sometimes a verb.

Hi all!

As much as I’ve tried deciphering individual setups and what they’re programmed to, I haven’t found a clear answer for what I need.

I’m running the TB 12s4p 30Q battery (waiting on a 12s4p 40T in the mail), and I need to know what’s a safe programming setup with the motor amps, battery amps, etc. Running 6380 TB 170kv motors. Also, with people saying these get hot
is there a good place to get some sort of heatsink for it?

TB’s 12s4p is rated for 60amps cont. , so that’s 30 per side. motor amp just leave it at max amp that it can take, so 80 per side.

also, heatsink for motors?

You won’t have a problem with that running them at 30A, not even once you get your 40T pack. I ran mine full rip in a sealed box and they did not overheat, I am a lighter dude though and not going on super long rides.

Sorry, I meant the Torque6 ESCs. This was the first thread I knew to go to when I got my T6 esc’s in the mail today.
