Everyone has got a butt and an opinion.
One test is worth 1k opinions.
This test shows the temperature difference between kapton and fishpaper.
It’s covering only one side of the pei. Wrapping a whole thing will make the heat difference even higher.
Take your own conclusions fellas.
Thanks for making this thread, i’m curious as to which to use for wrapping P groups. I previously wrap them with a layer or two of kapton, but since fishpaper supposedly handles abrasions better i figured that would be more ideal. At the end of the day i’m still torn between the two as which to use to wrap.
Kapton can be cut easily. Paper is way more resistant. Fishpaper is a must at certain spots of the battery. Wrapping the whole thing with fishpaper is another story…
I will not bother to argue with anyone.
Knowledge is power.
Kapton lets the heat pass through.
Paper does not.
Takes a little more time but this is how I’ve wrapped my past couple sets. Trying to figure out a way to get a wireless temp sensor placed middle of battery in enclosure to actually do some real world comparison. Until then, it’s all conjecture
I am openly against full wrapping with fish or barley. I said it many many times. But that was my opinion which no one cares. Today I didn’t tell my opinion. I made a test. That’s different.
I post my test…and you guys make up your minds your own way. I hope I made sense now and you understand why i do not plan to argue about this.
