Threadlocker hack

Any thoughts on using nail polish instead of threadlocker if you have no threadlocker or loctite lying around and nowhere to buy it on a Sunday?

I just tried it now on some bolts while waiting for my loctite to arrive. Hopefully nothing bad happens :slightly_smiling_face: plus loctite is expensive, nailpolish is free :grin:

No threadlocker needed if you just start the screw at a 30 degree angle and apply a lot of force when starting it.

I mean I used epoxy one time, needed a bolt to stay in a oversized bore

Nail polish sounds a little iffy to me. Locktite is not expensive when it comes to safety. That said, a few wraps with Teflon tape can help temporarily.
