Any thoughts on using nail polish instead of threadlocker if you have no threadlocker or loctite lying around and nowhere to buy it on a Sunday?
I just tried it now on some bolts while waiting for my loctite to arrive. Hopefully nothing bad happens plus loctite is expensive, nailpolish is free

Do you also use olive oil when youโre out of lube?

No threadlocker needed if you just start the screw at a 30 degree angle and apply a lot of force when starting it.

I mean I used epoxy one time, needed a bolt to stay in a oversized bore

Nail polish sounds a little iffy to me. Locktite is not expensive when it comes to safety. That said, a few wraps with Teflon tape can help temporarily.
