it is the classic way of mounting stuff on a deck, usually that moves or has wheels. Also Trucks Parts to connect a trailer, like a Pickup Truck. It does really fit the going theme.

I have this idea I need to cut up 2 sets of trucks for.
Went on a search for trucks on ebay and found these for $2.5 a truck.
Not 50 Cal hanger looking at all, tkp styling.
Those look like cheese metal and perfect for this application
