This bloody board… man it makes it hard to grab any others, its ability to turn the entire planet into a terrain park is just incredible. Im actually turning to this board over the Mach 1 twice as often at least, which is kinda fair given the time of year with it being a bit wetter and such, not that im not comfortable on the M1 in the wet, absolutely am but it just cant hit the terrain and banks (in the wet with my skill issues) that the SB can chew up. Its definitely getting the k’s racking up.
Why don’t change both trucks? I think to get all the benefits from dualities you really want both. I have a feeling the RTKP will feel very restrictive compared to what you can achieve with the dualities.
I kinda like the divey snowboard feel of the newbee truck at the front, compared to the airs on the front they replaced at least… I don’t think I ‘need’ the extra range of movement at the front for the casual use riding I do on this, that said dds are I’ll get a full set and play around with them both, let’s face it… this is the least ‘needs’ based hobby in the world one of the reasons for this change is I have the ‘need’ to use those unobtanium Sabre mounts with chains… Needs…
I have a P group out of balance. Im onto it before the group has gone too low, still at 3.7v - others 4.1v
Hoping you might be able to help me identify which group it’s likely to be. In th upper or lower case. Group 7/16… coincidentally the same P group that went out on my 12s 4WD… irritatingly.
Anyway, I suspect it’s a balance wire come loose as it did take a bit of charge when I realized what was going on… hopefully nothing off the scale major and I can get at it.
The battery is actually 2 seperate 16s packs. 16s4p in the bottom and 16s2p in the top. The bms is paralleled to both of them.
The only solution here is to find where the problematic connection is and repair it, bring the 7th group up to match the voltage of the rest and reassemble.
I’d be disassembling the top box to get to the balance harnesses as seen here
and checking them as the first point of action. If you’re lucky, the connection is broken somewhere in that top box.
It would be unlucky if it was in the bottom box
I think it’s unlikely that the actual connection of balance wire to the pack is broken, much more likely that there may be something wrong with the jsts on that wacky harness
