looks to me like you’re hitting the mosfet temperature ceiling

99c on FETs? that’s hella hot…
Is there a thermal pad on the heatsink?

no, there is not, there is also technicaly no heatsink, the vescs sit in an alluminum box

Disregard my dumb comment lol :man_facepalming:t2:

maybe, but i am sensorless on the motors, so doesn’t really matter what the motor temp is set to

Defualt for mosfet cutoff is 85c start, 100c end. I would never use anything higher.

Not sure how they look under the hood, but seems like they are pretty much VESC6 copies. Isn’t that aluminum case the heatsink?

The temps you are getting make no sense with that average power draw.

i’m not sure i’m right though. he never actually hits 110 degrees celsius, does he?

maybe i’m not looking at the relevant moment in the logs

Not sure, but I am running a 1:4 ration on 9" tires. Could have something to do with that? 170kv

Dexter is Jeff is Jeremy is Jason
Would it still be possible to reach those temps if he were missing the thermal pads?

just curious how are the esc’s attached to the aluminum enclosure? do you like use a silicone thermal pad or something?

Hot glue.

But only in a few spots around the edges, everything is pretty tight in that enclosure

They also sit on top of the truck mounting screws
