At one point I decided I wanted a little bit more feedback on the back
Instead of trying pre-load I put a 96C
So I’m 220 with gear.
And 93B/96C is when I told Brad I was kind of done testing and just riding it…
Because I don’t really want to mess with it.
It’s super loose.
It has super lean.
But it’s not scary to me when I’m getting a little speed on the streets.
I was never able to get to the right sauce with the MBS bushings as I always felt like they pushed back in a twitchy way.
So I had intended on Running Tito’s Dualitys on this board.
I had just spent 500 bucks on them.
And I expected my two sets of Matrix III to sit on the shelf.
These transformed the Matrix III way more than I could have expected.
It gives you access to the full lean of the trucks.
And it doesn’t push back in a twitchy way.
It’s really fluid and smooth.
I suppose it’s not anything new for me to tell people to put Riptides on their trucks.
But let’s say it out loud!!!
If you own a set of Matrix III, do yourselves a favor and get in line for a set…
Looks like a fun setup, but I don’t have matrix IIIs to try.
No bushings up front was just a temporary thing until I didn’t have time to swap over the rear truck too. Definitely felt more fun then the BN channel did in the front
I swapped both trucks over now, yet to ride the board or put in bushings though. But I’ll definitely be running some sort of bushing setup, zero return to center just doesn’t work if the wheels don’t stay planted on the ground 100% of the time, and I’ll be getting some airtime on that board especially after I finish up the 20S1P battery.
The lean really is impressive with these. Brad told me it’s due to the deforming of the bushing versus the typical channel approach of compressing them.
I think the most dramatic difference between the miii and the dualities is that the miii have a decent amount of rake. That’s probably contributing to the sensation of more lean. I’ll be stoked to try a set eventually.
I can imagine you’re fighting bump-steer on forest rides , and also vibration causing more fatigue
I tried hitting the forest only once , never went back there The asfalt jungle is way too good over here, especially in Holland with all the dedicated bicycle tracks/roads
