That would be the way to go 
Got just a little bit of work done today. Inserts and got the enclosure mounted.
I am waiting on all black fender washers and some rubber washers to go under them.
Using a mix of 20 and 25 mm m4 bolts.
Put the 1/8 foam strip both on the enclosure and on the deck.
Sticks out more than it needs to probably but I think having the 2 layers is good to keep water out and I hope to keep stress off the enclosure…
