Sweet, I was looking into a cheap eMTB and that should under $900. Cheap maple deck, dickyho 8” kit/FSESC dual 4.12 plus/FS antispark/single enclosure, mini remote, and the 10s2p 40t

Sounds solid enough for a first entrance to eMTB
First thing I think would break is the fsesc 4.12.
Why not a MAKERX or something? Then you could safely use 12S probably. Better prefomace overall, slightly higher budget.

Yes but I’m already broke from this…but I can fit a 12s2p 40T or 12s3p 30Q and a pair of the MakerX ESCs

Isn’t the official Trampa 6.6 VESC only $250 each? That’s more than triple for a single ESC

Its 550 on preorder. So double the trampa vesc. But trampa vesc is like 75v?
Its designed for e-surf and e-motorbikes. Massive overkill for esk8… hmmmm.

Trampa has a 75V 300A VESC for $550 actually, something called the 75/300

Based on theoretical power output, it’ll be less than a second…30kJ of energy to get a board and person to speed, and the power output is like 45kW
Something like that is probably a case for lifepo4.
Or lipos idk. Crazy high discharge something.
Why so much talk about the 40t when the molicel p42a is about the same but no low battery sag, am I right or wrong?

The 40t’s seem to be the new king on the block.
Starting to regret going with the 30q’s.
Does any of you guys have this spotwelder ?
Would it be suitable for properly welding a battery pack ?

Don’t be. The 30q is still more energy dense. So more range for less weight.
