Now to do the mains wires and hook up the BMS. Also need to clearly label connections to make it idiot proof
Dude, this is awesome, nice work. I love seeing a clean build, with all them perfect solder joints and the corners of the nickel lovingly rounded off, etc…
But a modular pack? Brilliant.
Edit: I see you’ve switched from Goat beer? Lol
I am known to switch between the furphys and the goat
Very happy with how this came out, still gotta print some labels for it in the hopes that it will get through the airport a little easier
Next is a flight friendly 10s4p for the neoONE deck
Looks like you have a garage full of batteries you already have the premium customer status from your local cell dealer?
Not yet, but hopefully soon got people hassling me for evolve packs flat out…
Hi there what’s that white tape?
This white tape?
Looks like fiberglass mesh tape
@Fosterqc is correct. It’s called filament tape, it has strands of fibreglass through it. Helps hold everything nice and tight.
No need to overthink about the tape, almost any tape you have at home will do the job
I don’t think he was.
Good to see someone else enjoys furph, I’d drink goat more if it wasn’t so bloody expensive
Anyone got 13-14 5p battery PCBs lying aruond or know where I can get some?
I got 7 left. Lemme know if u want em.
well actually I think 2 lines of nickel strip meant for 18650 cells, will also do. if anyone knows where to get that. Saw some pics of it but don’t remember where I saw them. a whole piece of nickel strip welded across a p group and bent to the side of the p groups for wiring s connections on top of the pack. Just realized can only do pcbs for 12 of the p groups.
Remember that most tape exposed to heat is likely to get gooey and lose adhesion. I’ve found that the filament tape holds up pretty well to that.
Kapton is heat resistant but also tears easily
Link for the flexi second hand?
