Will the podium prizes from the last TEF1 be paid out before this one starts? Or does the money from the next event fund the prizes for the previous?
@MacKeeper28 @AdityaAurora you get paid yet?
Negative, first correspondence I got regarding payments was on June 7th claiming it’d take between 30-45 days for payments to be disbursed give or take a few days for processing after they fire off the payment from their end.
It’s now been close to 2 months since that initial message and the only other notice I’ve gotten is that apparently their finance team is still waiting on the funds to be sent to the tef1 bank account which seems dicey considering to me that would imply they were advertising these payouts without actually having the cash on hand.
I really hope it doesn’t end up being some ridiculous Ponzi scheme where they use ticket sales from the new event to pay off the debts from the last, though even that would still beat walking away with nothing
The waiting definitely stings though, I can’t say I’m super inclined to do Sonoma after all of this, not only is it a giant monetary investment to get there but the flaky availability of promised prize money just leaves me with very little reason to want to risk the skin or forego cash that could otherwise go to some kick ass builds
I have confirmation that the payments for winners of the last event will be paid in the coming week. Our funds get sent in batches. You’ll see those payments roll in shortly, same thing happened at our last event unfortunately. We are working on getting those payment processes completed wuicker. But to your point, NO, the funds for this event do not payout the previous event. The funds for this event are completely separate. Rest assured, you will be paid, I have provided constant updates on that. And to Aditya’s point my last email to winners with an update was actually sent on JULY 16TH, NOT JUNE 7TH. I’ve also been in touch with Aditya via DM’s after June 7th, so not sure why he’s got his dates mixed up there for correspondence on our end. Please check your inbox for an email sent out on July 16th.
Aditya, I’m not sure who screwed you over in life, but you’re doubts on everything is a little laughable at this point. I last was in contact with you on July 116th via email, and I was in contact with you via DMs’ as well on telegram. Also, our events cost far too much for registration money to be used towards prize funds of previous events. How would we rent the track for the next event or the insurance, or everything else. Please don’t spread a false narrative about an event you’ve attended once with skepticism which you quickly took back. Last I checked with you, TEF1 was 4.5/5 ![]()
Just for clarity I am expecting no money. There is someone also named jackson who raced that is not me lol. I was a spectator and team engineer and it was a great event!
LOL, I thought you were Jackson. Thanks for confirming though and for joining us at our Atlantic event! Hope to see you at the next one!
I am Jackson, just a different Jackson lmao
I didn’t wanna get Jackson in any trouble ![]()
To clarify, I don’t currently believe that Tef1 is in itself a ponzi scheme, that comment was moreso me going off what Jackson brought up in his original message (i.e. new events funding prizes from previous) and saying that I’d be really disappointed if that’s what this turned out to be.
When it comes to your record about correspondence yeah that’s completely correct, and that’s also something I mentioned in my first message (second paragraph), the last correspondence I received from you was on the 16th of July relaying how your finance team was waiting for the funds to be sent to the tef1 bank account.
To be clear, I do not think that in its current state this is any kind of scheme or scam, I’m moreso saying that I’d be really sad if that turned out to be the case considering how much effort would go into setting up and attending events like this.
I do genuinely appreciate the work you and your team have done to make events like this happen, especially with electrify getting cut short previously it’s nice to see others are still stepping up and keeping racing going.
