Oh the horror.
Is he referring to me? Because I’ve been hosting group rides in New York City for every Saturday for the last 2 years. The only person “paying a fee” is me, because I’m from New Jersey and pay for parking and ferry ticket.
Everyone else that rides with me is either local to NYC, or made the choice to go to NYC and pay the associated fees (parking, ferry, train, etc.).
Not sure where any of your information is from.

I’m going to ignore the drama, I deal with enough bullshit at work.
This looks like it was a great time, I’ve never done a group ride before but it looks like people group up, gear up then go ride and get dinner (maybe)?
Do the rides follow a scheduled route similar to bike groups or is it more of a freeform get from a to b and figure it out as we go?

The group rides follow a predetermined route, often one thats shared prior. Either leading up to the ride or after the ride people will often branch off to hang out, ride, grab food, etc. In the case of this ride shortly after it wrapped up I and a few others went and gorged ourselves with grilled skewers from a cart in chinatown

Nyc group rides have always had a really welcoming vibe to them, very friendly group of people, if you have the chance to join them I strongly recommend giving it a go

Awesome! The PEVNYC telegram always has something going on, TNR’s are a really fun time and theyre a great way to go explore random parts of the city, industry city is also a great spot to go hang out and charge (and grab a drink if that tickles your fancy)

You mean you’re lying. We don;t charge a fee Matt, and you know that. Stop smearing, you are just looking for ways to tarnish my reputation, but good thing more people know me and my true character than those that listen to your sorry ass. Heal up bud! 
He is talking about me. And he’s lying out of his ass. Matt has done nothing for years but spread lies and fake news about me. We don’t charge fees at Vancouver ESK8 group rides, what we do is a raffle that people pay for tickets and ALL THE MONEY GOES TO CHARITY. lol We’ve raised over 7000.00 for various charities by doing this, like doctors without borders, the heart and stroke foundation, and BC Cancer Society. Matt is full of shit as per his username and uses this platform to try to tarnish my reputation. He’s been doing this for years and doesn;t let up cause he is just simply jealous of me for whatever reason. Don’t even talk to the guy. I’m glad I get to live rent free in his head though. And to prove this, I had actually made a post on this forum a long time ago abou tthe charity thing and I even gave an update post, we also have countless members who can vouch that we do not charge a fee for group rides. This kid needs to get banned from this forum.
