Tech requests for Jeff from neoONE (Merged Topic)

Thanks dude, I will look it up.

If you don’t mind, I have been looking into 100+ watts CO2 lasers. Most look the same, they look like they are made by the same company but rebranded any particular ones to suggest?

These will cut your cables like butter and remove the insulation easily as well, for quality hex keys you will have to spend 40$ for a set of wera hex plus

Bondhus is great quality and cheap. USA I think.

Weirdly, I’ve bought cheap non branded individual keys from a place that sells screws, and the quality is great! https://www.albanycountyfasteners.com/

Good cheap wire strippers, I think the Hakko ones are good. Made in Italy I think through an oem deal. They come in 3 sizes.

Hakko’s cutters are the same deal. Good not great and cheap.

There are many nicer options for more $$$

Tried these and never used regular wire cutters again

Do you use these for stripping wires of all sizes? Seems scary.

What size do you use?

Lol I spent too much money on German tools to try these and have them work, invalidating my whole existence.

For sillicone wires they are good for stripping, as they cut thorough the insulation and a gentle pull is all it takes
I didnt find a thing they didnt cut yet haha
used them up to 8awg sillicone ,have the smallest ones i think

@jeffwuneo do you have a factory contact with AMASS (creator of xt-60 connectors and such)

We buy from amass yes. What need?

Ahhh. I was just wondering if you had any string pulling abilities with regards to influencing their design engineers…

You should send their head dude an idea to make:

6 pin mr30’s

Locking XT-30 and XT-90

Panel/Flush mount XT-90

3 pin (like mr-30/mr-60) to amp spec of XT-90/XT-150

Locking & panel/flush mount mr-30/mr-60

These kind of connector is hobby style. For what you want is more need for automotive connector.

Honestly - AMASS offers everything I’ve mentioned except for the 6 pin connector and higher amperage.

There are nice panel/flush mountable xt-30’s and xt-60’s

There are locking xt-60’s

I think they realize that there is a want/need for them in the hobby market, it’s just quite small. I think in the next few years though, the demand will be higher. I feel like they just need a little nudge from somebody who knows what’s up so that they do things a little quicker.

Simply put, I just want them to put the “extras” they’ve put on some of the connectors, on all of them - along with a bit more innovation, such as the 6 pin.

I’ve actually found connectors for everything I’m after, and it mostly is automotive/sports bike connectors - however, they all have some things about them that I don’t like and still have to work around - something that isn’t really an issue in AMASS’s offerings.

I really just like sticking to one style/brand/supplier as well. I hate jumping from Molex, to Amphenol, JST, etc. I think AMASS has the power to be a one-stop solution for Hobby grade power/sensor connectors.

Most things automotive are also horribly overpriced/slightly tedious to order and find correct datasheets on… I recently had a phone call with 3M to get them to change a major discrepancy across certain dual-loc datasheets…

Fuck… Loctite/Permatex’s datasheets are also a disgusting mess to navigate.

They suck bro. Only nice on perfect condition tarmac or concrete. Anything else just blows.
