I’ve got a Sunkko 788h I’m trying to weld with but it’s not having a great time. Max current and pulse length won’t even properly adhere two strips of .15mm nickel, and won’t even do .2mm.

99 current, 2 pulse length and past 10 on the current knob and it’s maxed out with not much happening.

From left to right: 6 on the current wheel, 8, and 10. 10 blackened on the back but still not holding power on these .15mm strips.

Should I be doing something different? Feels like I need more pulse length or current but I’m maxed out there.

Seems to do a lot better without the wand actually. Removed it and now it seems to have power.

Yeah on that model it’s not strong enough to use the pens. You need to just put the tips on the machine.

For some reason, I get better results on 70A than 90A with that welder. I dunno, maybe it can’t really deliver the same pulse duration at that setting.

I found if you take the ground wire from the case and bolt it directly to the transformer the machines preform another better
