Stormcore problem Diagnosis?

Hey, I have a stormcore 60d and it worked fine for me for about a year but recently when I took it out it had a very low top speed and when I checked later one of the motors wasn’t moving at all. I re-ran motor detection and got the results attached below. The one that isn’t moving is the one that is connected over can. Also I have attached a photo of the stormcore circuit board if that sheds any light on the matter. Any and all input is helpful! Thanks so much in advance!!

The biggest part that’s confusing to me is the huge difference in the motor Lq-Ld between the sides. I’m assuming it’s not worth trying to repair and will look into getting a new VESC.

The one side with all round numbers isn’t actually doing the detection. Those are probably the default values for those fields.

Most likely a hardware failure. Try to flash new firmware and try again, otherwise you can test resistance between all the phase wires and see what they are. Should be around 60-80kOhms IIRC on the 60D, but you are really looking for consistency. A really high or low value usually means a shorted mosfet.

Finally got around to testing the resistance. Between 82.2 and 82.6 K ohms for each pairing. So I’m guessing it probably isn’t the VESC and is the motor instead.

Did you try swapping the working motor to the other side and run motor detection again? Did you figure out the issue?

I have a similar issue with my Stormcore, gonna open the board and check it over the weekend.

I did, the same side of the VESC was being weird. I decided to replace the VESC and will be working to install the new vesc this weekend.
