Stormcore 60D and Flipsky 6384s Strange Clicking

Hi folks. I’ve got a stormcore 60D in my board, had it for a few years now but its paired to duel flipsky 6384, 170kv motors and I’m having some troubles with the electronics.

  1. I had a throttle issue so I’ve replaced my Hoyt Puck.
  2. when I re-paired the motors using the VESC app on my phone everything seemed to be running fine… at least as far as I can see as I’m a huge VESC app nooby:

However…
My motors make some sort of electronic clicking sound whenever I start moving forwards or in reverse. I’m not sure why but it didn’t sound like that before on my old Hoyt Puck or whenever I’ve paired previous motors (I’ve gone through a couple over the years due to dirt build up getting into the bearings). Any reasons for the clicking would help, I’m not sure if its a problem or not. Happens under load and on the table without load.

Any feedback would be appreciated. If anyone has a link to VESC app tutorials for stormcore using the IOS app that would also help a lot. Its hard to understand the specific outputs and settings I should be using.

That’s perfectly normal, it’s the sound whenever you run without sensors. Try switching where you plug the sensors and run detection again, there’s a chance you accidentally plug the the sensors to wrong side of the motors.

Hello. Which sensors are you talking about? I’ve got everything plugged in for the motors so I’m confused.

It would be this connector on your motors. I’m not familiar with the layout on the Stormcore 60D. First try swapping their position and run detection again.

*It’s the sound when you run without sensors AND use HFI (for better position sensing making it less stuttery than normal sensorless)

Normal sensorless (non hfi) is silent and doesn’t have those noises.
