I see Astro motors supplied them but they are out of stock now. Looking for something like 140kv 18S+ rated is there anywhere else other than making an inquiry directly to Reacher? Oh and it’s the 6385 size
^^ SKP
The 138KV or 151KV 6485s would be the best options.
All motors in stock except 125kv
Your options are
SKP (cheapest in the US)
Radium (Aus based)
You should get some 355mm belts
Cant you shave 1/2mm off the corner?
Hmm, the back of the reacher motors does taper off maybe it would work even without modding. Its going to be even easier to scrape them on the ground though with the larger diameter.
@ZachTetra I have some 255 as well but it was really difficult to put it on. I found this one working ok, did you have problems? It does seem a bit loose
A half mm really shouldn’t make a noticeable difference
By looking at it it’s definitely not as tight as it should be so at some point you’re gonna skip teeth
Yeah I agree, however in this case it looks like the slots are at max travel.
@jindra i agree that an extra 500 microns of motor radius should not significantly change any of your clearance issues. Maybe In this case a good solution would be to slightly lengthen the motor mounting slots (with a deemed or ideally a mill) so that you can kill 2 birds with one stone and tighten the belts as well as get some clearance for the marginally larger motors.
Ok and I guess these will definitely not howl like flipsky motors at 18S?
I forgot I can’t run 355 because it will hit the baseplate then which would be even worse with the larger motor.
@Cyanoacrylate youre right that needs some dremeling. I was hoping not to have to do it since the 2 holes end close to each other. If the belt is questionable too I guess thats getting done.
This are the new specs of reacher 6385 motor. Seems even if they still call them 6385 the can is already 64mm and they also shorten the 8mm shaft to 30mm on there website they still have the old spec with 44.7mm shaft length
Cant you just source reachers from AliBaba for way cheaper?
Hey, Radium developed the current Reacher 64xx series motors. It took over a year and a lot of money to do.
You can support us by ordering from our site, and if what you want isn’t in stock or available just message us!
The support of the community ensures we can continue improving eskate motors for everyone to enjoy
Yes and no. If youre buying in bulk its cheaper, for just two motors the savings is basically moot due to shipping cost, and its better to support skp or radium if you can.
I think you’re right
For the EU peeps, we have 6375 - 170KV with 10mm axle in stock
You also get support and help with vesc related setup and stuff, when purchasing from SKP. Aswell as warranty and generally pretty quick service.
