[SOLD] WTS Carvon V3 $300 OBO

These were purchased from @atlesk8 a few months back and really only used 3 times, decided to give sixshooters a try so looking to sell these along with the wheels and bearings. Below is the description from the OG thread:

This Carvon V3 set was my daily driver for a while and was amazing for me. This set will flat out scoot and can take any Abec wheels to allow for swapping. I generally just used 97MM Abecs and that was a great setup.

Not a majorly interested buyer

But 2 questions

  1. What is the kv

  2. Do these come with wheels

These are 110kv speed drives meant to go 40+ and yes these do come with the wheels and bearings

Yeah cool

Got the v4s and really excited to use them to

Good luck with the sale

How’s the torque with 110kVs on a DD and only 2WD??

Surprisingly not that bad
Obviously nothing compared to belts

However did a test on mine and you do get quite a bit of torque

The only thing I am confused on isn’t he motor can is massive (like 6374) but the stator is tiny (is that normal with all motors?)

Well they have to fit around and axle and still be rigid enough to hold the weight of the rider. I will say though torque is definitely not the same as dual 6374 s but them when you’re rolling and you hit the acceleration these things just keep going

Yeah once above like 10mph you start moving nice

Do you know if there were ever any adapters made for these or would you be stuck with Abec?

I don’t think so, its Abec only.

How wide are those hangers?

I was thinking of putting these on trampa Carver deck using adjustable baseplates…

I believe @Janux-esk8 makes Kegel adapters.

I will need to get back to you on that when I get home, Unless someone else on the forum can chime-in, in the meantime.

After lots of digging since these are basically dinosaurs now, I found some info.

Carvon V3 are the speed drives running 110kv
Carvon V4 are the torque drives running 85kv
From axle to axle, both V3 and V4 are 11inches or 280mm

I’d definitely prefer torque over speed, so would you say torque is overall good or bad? I’m expecting a few hills here and there

It depends on what you’re used to, This is definitely a speed kit it has torque but not on the realm of 85kv or dual 190kv belt drive.

It’s just that I’ve run over so many goddamn squirrels I want to be able to come to a full stop within a respectable distance. Also cuz I’m fat

In the V4 version there were speed drives and torque drives. I believe @esk8manbabes had a few sets…

You haven’t heard the small little yelp and quiet crunch when a squirrel gets run over by a fatass on his board? It’s delightful
