Small cannonball, 10s2p commuter

Ight guys, I’m bored out of my mind and I got enough parts to build a board.this is my first build thread so cut me some slack. This is my 7th build but my first documented one. My little brother has been bugging me for one so this is my attempt at it.

Parts

  1. Meepo 10s2p
  2. Maytech super-foc 4.12 vesc
  3. 6354 chineasium 190kv motor
  4. BN220’s with precision mount
  5. Boardnamics press fit pulley
    6, riptide bushings

So I started this build off my making some adapters since the meepo battery has a female xt60. Made a female xt90 to a male xt60

Then I found this loopkey setup I had made from months ago

Already assembled the drivetrain but I need some new wheels, 83mm evolved are complete shit

Boardnamics press fit allows for no tracking on the drivetrain and his new precision mount is flawless.
It should be coming to the market soon, but this is one of the early prototypes. I fucked it up by forgetting to put a bearing and kinda messed it up but still works fine lol. New axles on the bn220’s rock, fuck shoulder bolts

Encountered a problem along the way while removing the screws from the precision clamp. One of the threads on the clamp became stuck and while trying to remove it, I broke the head of the screw. Now it’s stuck for good but doesn’t effect the mount itself since it fits through its slot.
Also made a ton of loopkeys since I had so many xt90’s laying around

Another problem I am encountering is the fact that I forgot to buy a charge port for the battery

Still deciding on what remote to use as I don’t want to put my little brothers life up for grabs with this winning remote I got

Now all I need to do is configure everything, and assemble it onto a deck. Still trying to decide on a deck, I have my eye on a Santa Cruz Jason Jesse sun deck as well as a dead pescado Tony alva deck but am yet to decide.

Other dilemma is I need a new set of wheels for this build. @Bobby is trying to hook me up with some evolve 107’s but he lost 1 wheel :joy:

This build isn’t anything special, just a little commuter for the little brother since he wants to stroll along with me. He is only 75lb so this should definitely have enough power for the little guy.

Will update thread as I get more parts for it. Thanks for looking!

Ok guys, need a little help.

Vesc settings
Motor max 30
Motor min -25
Battery max 35
Battery min -15

Throttle curve
25%/-3%
5% deadband

Not sure if these settings will
Be good for a 70lb kid. What y’all think?

I mean I doubt your ESC can even handle more reliably  Looks good to me, dunno about the throttle curve though; I tend to leave that as is.

Hey wait arent you supposed to be banned from eskate huh, imma tell your parents nananananaa

Also id keep my deadband a lil longer, but thats just preference i guess.

Ok, got settled on a deck. Found a comet fsm 2012 on offerup for $10!!! Decent condition too. Since I don’t have a enclosure, I decided to just use a steel it’s container.

Ok so I pretty much finished the build
I just need some risers and a new remote and it’s good to go!

Decided to top mount the battery for a lower ride. Bought 85mm purple caguamas for the board.

Probably going to switch out the mount since it’s a little to big for caliber style trucks, I put some adhesive Velcro to the truck for a tight fit with the Boardnamics truck

Also running a dickyho 40t pulley

Also waiting on my other enclosure, this tubberware container is temporary. Other enclosure should be coming in a few days🙂

Colors kind of clash tho

Finally bought the deck for this
Build is now very close to finished, I just need to buy some screws to secure the enclosure 100%

how muuch does it weigh?
range?
speed?

Ok so it weighs in at 16 pounds or roughly 7kg

I limited the speed to 8 mph by lowering the duty cycle to only 30% since I want to make sure my little brother won’t eat shit.

With him being only 75lb, he should get at least 10 miles of range

Here is the complete finished board

Where did you get that loopkey mount? Is that an xt90 or xt60?
