Bloody awesome. As far as I know, no one out there is selling a package with a good, powerful ESC and a good enclosure together. While sometimes it’s nice to have flexibility to mix and match enclosures and ESCs a lot of the time you just want a package that you know works together without having to do all the research to figure out whether it fits and how the ESC will be bolted together. Not having to buy the two separate pieces from two different places is a bonus.

Are you thinking of selling only the transparent top or offering options?

Il have the 3 options that are available from 3ds black, transparsnt and Smoke, in my store and in the US

Given length of the cables with XT90s on the Solo, it looks like with this setup that probably the connectors would end up outside the case? The cables do look pretty short so I’m not sure. If inside then especially with two connectors it will take up a bit of space.

Yeah there are a few options here, I would strategically shorten both solo cables in a way that they could plug into a paralleling connector or something like that.

This is how 3Ds is running the set up right now. It takes a bit of careful planning and layout but the enclosure will fit everything you want in there

Secret agent 00esk8 got this top secret photo of solos built into new enclosure with heatsinks!

Jk @Skyart said it was cool.

Lol! Yeah I am working on something for longboards that will be pretty sweet and everything should fit together pretty easily

Those images showing a unit in the 3DS enclosure are very helpful. Although it looks like most of the space on the side of the power connectors will be used up with the plugs and connections, having (45 - 27) mm space on top will definitely be helpful.

i am in danger :joy:

i know it says 18S,

(i also may need some dimensions/numbers to see if it’ll fit in me catbox or if i need to adjust :eyes:

They are for sure 18s max. I wouldn’t bother pushing them to 20s. The fets would be able to handle it but the rest of the components are sized for 18s

Any dims you need lmk!!

dang

i’ll still check if she fits

i’m interested in the mount pattern of the dual controller, and the L,W,and H, max dimensions. i think a general volume is all i need. i saw there was a heat sinky bit but i might not worry about that til later

sounds like i need more boards at some point

These prolly the dims you want, I have a flat version too without all the ribs. It saves some height. And ina real extreme scenario you could remove the top POM cover to save even more height

@Skyart
1.
Can you confirm on what is based the controller (75/300 or the 100/250)?

Is more information will be shared in a close future? (I’m always hungry about details).

Great job. Happy to find an alternative solution more in-line with ongoing build (made by them for them in optic of quality, fair pricing and not overseas). Definitely hit the 1st place in my list for VESC.
