I’ll be honest its kind of a drag that all these great new motors are going with shorter shafts. I really want to move on from my bioboard 138kv, partly because they have 26mm shaft and I have to hunt around for collared motor pulleys so I can run 18-20mm belts. Is there any chance of getting a set with a 40 or 45mm shaft? They don’t even need to be installed. I can do it myself.

You can get custom machined shafts from Misumi, looks like the motors actually have 10mm bearings in them already, so you can most likely just yank out the original and put in a new one, but you might need an arbor press or a clamp to get it in. Ive done it with maytechs all the time when I build battle bots.

I would grab a pair but I don’t think I can fit 6485 on the hangers I prefer 
I’m running 6354 motors and anything bigger would hit the base plate of my trucks. (current ones will hit the nut for the bolts if I use the outside bolt holes/ the holes furthest away from the front holes)
I will still keep an eye on this thread for these though since they might be small enough to work for me

I used to get solid steel bar stock shipped in medium flat rate boxes via USPS all the time, after the first couple simply stopped delivering it lol, I’d have to go pick it up at PO where they wouldn’t even bring it out to the counter. I’d have to go in the back and haul them out myself, usually in the corrugated plastic “Postal Service Property” crates…
Can’t really blame them, whoever came up with the 75-80lb adjusted limit, let alone the original 100lb limit (which we always maxed) must have been either insane, sadistic, or simply an idiot… not that I’m complaining!

Would the 6355 motors work well for those not planning on putting more than 50amps per motor?

You should be fine with 6355’s at 50A per motor, i think for the brief period i had some flipsky 6355’s i was at about there and it was okay, the SKP ones should be even better.
