WIP new workshop which I started this thread for, for finding ideas and improvements. Over half a ton of plywood on the walls and in the bench.

Got a driveway at long last, but the workshop fitout is escalating faster than completion. Currently I’m building a loft space and partitioned off workshop. Completion is months away.

New house, new nerd station.
living in the van was going fine but i met a lovely lady and have moved in with her.. i’ve transplanted my little corner workshop from my old shed into my new shed. With the addition of the sweet red filing cabinet!
there’s still a bunch of crap in my old shed that can stay there until such time as i need it, but the work station is complete here and I have the ability to tinker now if I so choose.
this was never part of my ‘plan’ and it definitely has it’s pros and cons. Living with other people comes with a good amount of challenges but this is what I’ve chosen and I need to make it work as well as I can, so the nerd station is a necessity!

You have no idea how much the idea appeals to me.
Pretty much the only rides i do these days are super slow, short cruises with the rat dog, the mach is total overkill for cruising at 20kph for sub 5km rides 
i don’t even bump out of mode 1 on the puck!!
BUT! I’d sooner buy a small prebuilt than build anything these days, there’s just no bang for buck in DIY.

Diy is definitely never going to survive a cost benefit analysis but if you have the bug you just do. I know that no prebuilt has ever survived the first rip without modification so scratch built diy just fits my needs better. Keep almost picking up a board then smarten up at the last minute. It’s a curse

I guess more than anything else these days its a time cost more than a financial cost for me. I barely even find the time to ride, let alone tinker. The mach is proof that i can’t leave well enough alone, there would always be some degree of tinkering, but starting with something that’s already good to go is pretty much where i’d be at with it these days.
now that @Tony_Stark has teased an upcoming new radium release, i’d be lying if I said I wasn’t counting my pennies in anticipation!
