6337 solder, no more heat than i really need, and uhhh
yeah! i don’t aim for perfect wire tinning as that happens anyways when i make my joint
less is more cause i can always go back in to add more which generally also helps make a nice finish and prevent solder from creeping up the wire : )
generally, it’s
325°C for anything smaller than 12Awg
325 or 345° for 12Awg or 10Awg
375°C for parallel joints orrrr something of the like, anything that is a bit heavier or needs faster heat
I’m sure I have some of those pics I just can’t find them. I’m just so bad at everything photography related lol right down to where I left pics
Here’s one I’m proudish of
Yeah, this
I’m still just in shock that you could fit the cap over all those joints
that’s not a joint lol
So cursed thats a ripper effort!
Soldering to blade fuses is tricky! Gotta be so quick not to melt them!
I typed in “solder” to my google photos… it worked pretty well but also not so well at the same time
Some examples of the not so well
i found a few more : )
double 12Awg + 16Awg into xt90
sensor extensions
Balance lead extensions
not my best work but they’re decent
Oh yes, I was very quick with a proper iron, a pinecil.
That’s a good soldering iron and my soldering joints are flawless!
“Not my best work”
posts soldering porn
thanks! one is a 16 key macropad I designed, and the other is one half of a split collumn staggered board I designed.
Love the spinny knob
