Good eye as always dude. Thanks! Can’t wait until I’m done with my skin collage. This threads been good to me.
Is that a Trampa stamp?
That is a “I wish I was riding a Trampa” stamp…
I was trying to ride up on a grass bank but on the way back down to the pavement shit got REALLY bumpy and the board slipped out. Fell back into the pavement on my back and rolled, not sure if my armored jacket slid up or what but I should have had it clipped to my pants.
Why do I test out how much I need safety gear without actually using it properly
I’ve changed underwear probably 4 times since then today it is not happy. Good thing I’m a side sleeper
Probably gonna need a 5th pair before I sleep. The alcohol wiping is really pushing my pain tolerance. The quiet screams…
Get this stuff. Fixomull. Adhesive bandage stick straight on and leave it till healed.
I have a big roll of this at home. It’s saved me many times. Perfect for grazes.
If only someone made a giant “ESk8 News” band aid.
Yee! I got one!
Good ole car hidden behind the blind roundabout snuck up and got me trying to swing a 20mph circle. Dude stopped and asked bro you alright? I said yep thanks man got a good helmet for just this reason, thanks man. Wiggles are the stretching it out before continuing on. Mmm. Sometimes, besides the ole hips, it feels good to feel the burn a bit and honestly it makes me want to go faster next time around that corner.
That’s the good shit right there.
@amanuelamanuel My gloves are a lot worse than that but I keep wearing them… too lazy to sew em up.
Wifey is very apprehensive of letting me back on the esk8, her dad passing away at 60 yesterday didn’t help either.
I’ve said to her many times I’m not stopping, but have (for the moment) agreed to not commute on it when I start again.
Covid19 is a perfect excuse anyway, not much commuting, and my fractured shoulder is still very much healing up.
When I’m ready again, hopefully all this stress will be a distant memory, and I’ll have done a good rebuild.
These gloves weren’t really rated for anything though, the asphalt chewed right through them on the initial impact, no sliding. I think I’ll order the Orsa Knox gloves that @malJohann have. They look pretty sturdy… And cool!
Think I’ll order some G-form kneepads as well.
This is what they look like after the third fall with contact in the palm area. I’m still going to use them more, the sliders work really well.
Noice. It’s my hands that always get effed the most. Time to take care of them!
I’ve lost zero skin on my hands, and the last fall was at 64kph, with my left palm being the first part to make contact with the ground. That’s the glove in the top picture.
This has nothing to do with crashing but you gore voyeurs may appreciate this popped blister from new skate shoes.
The cursed red baby skin do be soft tho.
Dudeeee that is gnarly damn, give us some more context of what happened? And did you loose part of your arm or am I totally seeing that wrong?
Yup, no right arm above the elbow. Ripped off by an industrial washing machine. Then I fell and broke the tip of the stump bone and broke it higher up too
