I have a 10s4p p42a battery pack and now that i have a higher quality esc im starting to notice im drawing a little more power than my cheap flipsky ones. I already hit 35mph on flat road with this setup and im not looking to go faster. I am however looking to have longer range. Would adding 2 more p-groups to make a 12s4p be better for this purpose or would adding 2 more cells to my exiting 4p-groups to make a 10s6p be better? (Running two 6355 motors btw)
10s6p
This will keep your battery safer, since adding 2 fresh P groups will push the pack out of balance a bit. Spreading the fresh cells throughout the pack keeps each P group at the same capacity and resistance.
12 x 4 = 48 Cells.
10 x 6 = 60 Cells.
I vote for the 10S6P (60 Cells).
12s5p = 60 cells
6p may see less A per cell so 6p might work just fine
I do have a balance charger so pushing out of balance i wouldnt be too worried about but you make a valid point! 10s6p it is!
Thanks bro💪
10S6P because it’s significantly more cells — but that is a small reason compared to the elephant in the room:
…but both reasons point to the same configuration.

No one person is the greatest. United we stand, divided we fall.
I disagree, Ryan Reynolds is greatest
