The threads on it tore out after like 40km too.
Hardened steel screws tend to not be good friends with soft anuminuminum.
I’ve also mounted components via woodscrew. My headlight was woodscrew-through-hose-clamp mounted until I ruined the led trying to drive it centrally.

Raptor 1 on a Vanguard deck. Whiteponey hated it, said it won’t last long … still running after 10.000 km. However, shitty Enertion 10s3p spacecell is done. Range is worse than on a Boosted with XR battery, so annoying. Buying a used Raptor 2 battery tomorrow and extend the life for another 3 years. Caps on the shitty Enertion Vescs came off twice due to all the vibrations, still running. I don’t care how shitty it looks, still love that thing so much!

I actually see possibilities here! and I’m working on something similar, but without the Gbomb, using only spring steel to add a somewhat suspension to a very stiff deck, battery enclosure!

actually i just need one front bracket left, right now it looks kooky. final plan will be caliber II on front and back
