I will let you know today. Tax is paid by the receiver. Depending on the country and package value. Example: Iceland and portugal don’t pay tax up to 22€ including shipping. Even if you mark it as gift, they will tax you according to invoice that you’ll supply.

I suppose what you could do is ship your gift to the person who is gifting to the person you wish to thank, if they’re okay with that. That way the receiver’s address stays as private as it is now.
