July 10th - 13th the PNW eESK8 Seattle crew is hosting SEA Carve 2025!!! An esk8 rally event in the spirit of the PNW Carve Series of events that started in PDX!! It will be 4 days long. Each day will start and end at MOHAI in Seattle. Lots of skating and many different routes ranging from city to waterfront and touring Seattle and some of the Eastside. Yo!!! We will be clocking 40+ miles a day!! (hahahah 40 is the min, we kill it, get ready!) You can count on a visit to the velodrome, cookout, waterfront, and some forest trails are a good possibility.

Heard there was a group ride?

Carve was sick as hell last year, my sources say this year is likely to also be sick as hell.

I will actually be on esk8 this year instead of EUC. Still need to make a build thread for mine.

Ok, but will you still be riding directly into the back of a parked car again?

I should be able to go. Not sure about the whole charging situation as I’ve never used a car charging station before so I just have a regular 120V 10A charger on me. Might bring the doggo but these rides look too long for my battery with the dog  I only got a 12s8p.

12s8p should be fine. The routes should be within 15-20miles max round trip. And ride speed will be pretty slow, 15-20mph.

12s8p will likely get you 99% of the rides and back to your accommodation of choice. We are keeping all the official rides to right around 20 miles max and any of the rides like Saturday where the start isn’t the destination will have 120 and 240 charging and an appropriate amount of time to get rested, charged, feed and watered for the next leg.

Biggest thing is probably a good flashlight for any of the evening rides as they end near or just after sunset and we don’t want to lose anyone to the darkness .

Doggo will likely do great, we are making some small improvements to our planning so we are every eskate friendly, not just zoom friendly. Trying for enough leads and sweepers to make every route have a middle lead guiding the slower carving riders without having to have “fast rides” and “slow rides” with just the extra credit rides (unsanctioned unofficial) and special guest leads needing anything beyond the norm.

If you’re close to 20miles of range but on the fence, we will be trying to identify the charge spots at halfway points on the rides and doing triage charging by most needed. A couple of the leads - myself included will have universal input/ programmable output chargers to help get needy folks topped up too but you have to bring or request your adapter beforehand AND KNOW YOUR MAXIMUM CHARGE CURRENT.

Has to be an xt60 FEMAL to whatever charge cord you have like this lp20 one i use

Testing some of the route modifications soon… as my foot heals from esk8con

I resemble that remark

Sounds good. I’ll have a look at my charge cable situation.
Also gotta look for pet friendly accommodation. Green Tortoise is not pet friendly :sob:
