Something like this? The cover plate that holds the PU concentric would have to have the same pattern as the mesh, but the mesh could have the same inner shape as the current PU so not change to the rotor and stator except a low kV winding. The mesh and sleeve could either be combined like the PU on a normal polymer core, or they could have a spline pattern so either could be replaced
Itās too tight to change the winding and lower kv. 75kv is perfect for this size motor as it provides a good amount of torque without overheating the motors. Sorry friend, we not plan to make any more changes to the motor, we are happy with the result.
I beg to differ with you on this one by user experience, iāve been riding 100mm dualomo wheel sleeves for a 4 months already up to max speed for 5 min stretches on straight and clear zones on the Dualomo hub motors ⦠and they still dont get hot.
What gets hot is the ESC zone⦠these wheel sleeves in this picture are new replacement sleevesā¦
Your motor has a larger stator than we use on the neoHUB so a comparison is not fair example.

Iāve been following this thread since the beginning, but I feel like this is the first time youāve mentioned KV values.
BTW, my neoHub seems to be stagnant as well - if it werenāt for Covid, Fedex would be on my doorstep by now.
Yes is 75kv I think most of the package should see some moving in a few days.

I think you mean designed, and created a complete new wheel size, which was produced in the US, ⦠rather than just use an existing mould and slap a logo on it, these two things are very different. Then was able to replicate the process again with additional sizes at the same quality, but produced in a different location. Credit where credit is due.
@jeffwuneo is there enough difference in your hub compared to the dualomo/loaded hub that their 100mm sleeves wonāt fit neo hubs?

Dualomo is different to Loaded. I believe his hub motor is exactly the Loaded hub motor size and will fit any loaded designed wheel sleeve

For me there are loads of pros and conns regarding hubmotors. To me there are three main issues holding me back:
Heat, road vibrations and lack off availability in terms of trucks.
The neohubs nailed truck availability with the lath style fitment. So far the urethane sleeves seems to be fairly thick and good quality with the 90mm sleeves. Im not so sure about the heat capabilities on the other hand. Sure short boards and all that, however if they could have the same quality internals but have stators 1.5-2 times the length I would be all over these.
The 90mm PU has more than 16mm thickness. The stator and magnet and winding together make for Higher efficiency motor. The PU can handle high temperature. At 40A you can achieve 5Nm from one motor.
I know I know, but it canāt compete with say a regular 6355 outrunner with the kind of cooling it naturally gets. I am currently on the edge of overheating 6355 motors running 85mm urethane wheels with an ambient temperature of around 25 Celsius. 82 kgs fat.
