We are going to demonstrate against the new Dutch LEV framework on Saturday!

A new LEV framework is about to be introduced. This Saturday is the time to show that you disagree with the government’s plans. If we don’t speak up now, nothing will change. And your current Light Electric Vehicle with the new LEV framework from 2023 will be just as illegal as it is now.

The police and mayor of The Hague have approved our proposal for a demonstration. We gather Saturday 27 November at 14:00 left next to Malieveld Pavilion and will demonstrate against the new LEV framework of the government.

Where and what time?

Saturday 27th of November 14:00 hrs.
Koekamplaan 6, The Hague.
Left next to Paviljoen Malieveld.

What will we do?

We will drive 12 laps around the Malieveld, which is a 12 km route that almost all Light Electric Vehicles can complete on battery.

Is the Goal to show the Police all types of LEV’s to make it easier for us to get caught?

The police and government already know about electric skateboards, e-scooters, EUC and Onewheels and have increased their efforts in hunting them down to fine and confiscate. So no, this is not an effort to make them more aware. They already are.

This is an effort to legalize these vehicles. As the Dutch framework will eventually be used all over Europe. So this means that for example an EUC which is legal now in Belgium and France, will become illegal over time. They are already in discussions on how this transition should go, for example a 2 year cool down in a transition phase, after which your current ride will be effectively illegal forever.

It is very important that we make noise during these times, we are at a turning point.
