I bought a rear LED light off aliexpress
It can be powered straight off 12s battery voltage, which I like because buck converters take up space and aren’t always reliable / can have their cheap wires snap off from vibrations.
I drilled 2 new holes in the deck and installed it with some aluminum brackets from the hardware store.
Since I no longer run sensors on this board I cut off the sensor extensions and routed the wires for the light through one of their cable glands. I’ll use the other gland for the front lights once @ShutterShock lists the BigBeem adapter for Newbee RTKP on his site so I can order some
As you can see, this light has 2 lighting elements – a top and bottom. Now that the TTL project is opensourced, I might poke around one day to getting the top part to only turn on when braking. That would be cool I think. I also bought some water resistant switches off aliexpress, which I’ll epoxy into the top of the enclosure some day for quickly turning the lights on and off. I’ll decide on that once the big beems are installed.
That’s it for now! These 9" Mudplugger tires show like zero wear, and the Apex Jump drives have also been flawless so far, albeit loud. I use this board a lot, so I’m pleasantly surprised by how it requires 0 maintenance. Good shit
My SL-300 is actually brighter, even on the lowest setting, lol. At least this light won’t blind pedestrians lol.
