RipTide Sports Brackets designed to adapt Channel trucks (MBS, Trampa, Lacroix Hyper, Kaly) to various longboards

I ride stiff boards for exactly this reason. Personal preference for sure but in my world, I want a fairly strict relationship between angulation and response.

I’m a kook… I love some of my boards to be noodles… some stiff as steel…

Gbombs flex and add to the pump and the carve!

Gbonb setups definitely flex and add energy to non powered pump set ups.

The shock absorber looks interesting for sure and is always welcome I guess. But the spring steel bracket would need to be quite thin right?

Im planning to use brackets similar to what I printed in combination with mbs matrix 2 trucks and bindings in the future :love_you_gesture:

I’m thinking 3-5mm thick 1040 spring steel… I still haven’t found a good source… I may try a junkyard and use some dis-guarded leaf springs…

Leaf springs can also be 1060 or even 1095

Damn. Looks sweet. Is the top of the deck convex, or are my eyes playing tricks on me?

yup about 25mm an inch or so of curve (convex) to the deck front to back with a pretty aggressive concave as well… it’s a pretty fun board to ride now that Brad @RipTideSports has helped me flesh out the bushings… it carves deep, and has a lot of pop… almost like a pump deck… it was just what I wanted…

Fyi it isn’t hydrolic but mechanical ones, with gearing inside, hydrolic is on another level, put some hydrolic on a esk8 is i dont want to say impossible because nothing is impossible but yeah, that’s huge!

Just to be clearer, it’s not ā€œsomeoneā€ as Stan says, it’s a good friend, (Alexis if you remind him at the cup last summer he was the guy with the big 4wd trampa, and was playing the music too) who is actually prototyping this build in order to have something really but really like really really fast and stable as hell but can be turny too at normal speed. He’s going to make his own custom deck, and add two more 8085 motors and 200a vesc to make it 4wd. He already tested in dual but results aren’t that good in term of power, he got cut out while going full throttle maybe cause he tend to have sag on his 12s10p vtc batt but that would be weird so he’s working to solve this problem. Something impressive is coming in the next few month for sure, stay tuned

Looks like the same deck used for a trophy at Dump road last week: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1245309585859242&set=a.101407520249460&type=3&theater
