I really didnāt want to do this right now because the timing sucks + it was legitimately a decision I had made long before this all went down over the last week (and I have friends that can back me up on that, at least). This has now come up a few times and been brought to my attention though. Fuck it, radical transparency eh?
I have no formal arrangement to work with Neo on a remote and I did not consent to that being discussed/publicized. Weāve had some initial discussions but Iāve had similar discussions with half a dozen other esk8 companies, there is nothing agreed upon, no project proposal or SoW has been penned up, no work started, nothing signed. The only company that I have a formal working arrangement with is @torqueboards and we both mutually agreed to make that knowledge public. I tend to be very transparent about who I am doing business with in respect to existing NDAs.
My permission was not given for any partnership with Neo to be announced, as no such project exists. I learned from other people that it was being discussed by Jeff in a Telegram group as something in-progress + saw posts on it in my own OSRR thread earlier this week.
I donāt mean this to be a slam, I can easily chalk it up to a miscommunication, and weāve made a commitment to open source our work so anyone is welcome to use the designs of to whatever extent the license published under allows for.
But I donāt have any projects in my books for Neo, this isnāt even anything personal; this is purely business and transparency.
